Nomads Festival is known for its immersive, free-spirited atmosphere a two-day “oasis extravaganza” in Amsterdam that celebrates music, community, and the power of the tribe. For the 2019 edition, the organizers wanted a lineup announcement video that did more than list artists. It needed to capture the soul of the festival, its energy, identity, and anticipation and rally the tribe around another unforgettable weekend.
Working in collaboration with the Kids Creative Agency (Berlin), we set out to create a video that felt like an invitation into the Nomads world:
Visual Storytelling: Designed a narrative that blended the eclectic, tribal-inspired aesthetic of the festival with modern motion graphics to build excitement.
Custom Soundtrack: Partnered with Job Poels to compose an original soundtrack, ensuring the music matched the festival’s rhythm and amplified the emotional impact of the lineup reveal.
Immersive Energy: Combined dynamic cuts, vibrant color palettes, and layered typography to reflect the energy of the artists and the communal spirit of the event.
The result was a high-energy lineup film that felt less like a promo and more like an initiation into the Nomads experience. The video celebrated the festival’s core themes — tribe, music, and freedom — while showcasing the all-star lineup in a way that kept audiences hooked from start to finish.
